FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Product Release:
Uniform version 3.0 beta software.
"UNIFORM 2000" is a software tool to configure and monitor Instromets range of ultrasonic gas flow meters. These include the CheckSonic, the FlareSonic, the P.Sonic®, and the Q.Sonic®. UNIFORM 2000 uses the 'virtual instrument' concept to transform your PC to a measurement instrument with a nice and easy-to-use graphical interface.
UNIFORM 2000 offers a variety of functionality:
· Dial-Out: Uniform 2000 supports remote monitoring of flow meters using a dial-out connection. A dial-out configuration consists of a PC with Uniform 2000 installed and connected to a Uniform modem (connected to one of the serial ports) and a meter modem that is connected to a remote flow meter.
· Configuration: UNIFORM 2000 allows the flow meter's operational parameters to be read from the device. The parameters can then be edited and saved on hard disk or written to the device. A complete set of operational parameters is called a parameter set-up. Parameter set-ups are saved on your PC's hard disk in .iut files. A saved parameter setup can be recalled back into UNIFORM 2000 and written onto the device. Support is included for .par files generated by UNIFORM for DOS.
· Monitoring: UNIFORM 2000 has on-line displays for the operational status and measured
data
· Data Logging: UNIFORM 2000 features a simple data logger that allows the collection of measured data for off-line data processing.
